I was in the area to visit a friend. I was craving something similar to Asian Box, which is a healthy Asian food alternative. Randomly went on yelp and found Birdie!
I ordered the Chicken Pho and was really surprised. It was a decent amount of food for a really reasonable price. The food was pretty good! If I worked in the area, it would probably be one of my go-to's.
The people behind the counter were also very nice and patient while I was trying to figure out what to eat haha. Everything on the menu looks good!
I'll definitely be stopping by again. Hoping they will open up a Birdie Bistro closer to my neighborhood sometime soon! -

We are so disappointed to lose our favorite local Vietnamese restaurant and the kind and friendly former owners!
- Pork vermicelli was mostly fat.
- Spring rolls were stuck to paper wrapping and fell apart. The parts we could eat were hard and inedible.
- Ordered extra meat but did not receive extra meat.
- Girl at front counter as I walked up was on her phone and would not greet me or make eye contact. Waited forever for a young guy to come in and acknowledge my existence. At least he was friendly.
Their smoothie selection - their entire menu actually- is very limited.
Super disappointed. I won't be back to give it another shot. -

This place have some great Lunch box and Banh Mi.
Ambiance was pretty and spacious
Food are generous, I like how they marinated their beef, their milk tea are good, not crazy good like Happy Lemon or milk tea house but hey, it's cheap. -

Google and Yelp have this place as open right now. There's a sign on the overhang that says open now. Door is locked with a sign that says closed with a grub hub logo and nobody is answering the phone.

I came here several time for lunch. This used to be the old Pho Le restaurant.
When it comes to writing review, I'll only write one if a restaurant is either super good or outrageously bad. The good thing is, I happen to like Birdie!
Pros:
+Super affordable. Ex: Can you believe a $6 bowl of pho???
+ Portion is simply huge for its price.
+ Modernized interior. Much better than the old Pho Le here!
Cons:
+ nothing. Really.
However, I read other reviews by other people complaining about the food not tasting as good as a traditional asian restaurant. I mean... how else do you explain why Birdie's food price are super cheap? Obviously they have to cut corners! But, according to my taste buds, the food still retain most of the asian authenticity. I saved myself lots of lunch dollars here (by as much as $5 everytime!) compared to going to a traditional asian restaurant!!
Also, Birdie seem to be understaffed to me. I often see only 2 people working there. They're super friendly though! This also means I'll have to wait patiently if I have a large order... So keep that in mind if you come here!
In short, if you don't mind eating slightly-less good food in order to save big $$$ every lunch, then Birdie is your best friend! Otherwise, you can go spend 2x- 3x more money by going to other traditional restaurants for the exact same food!
